Winter Storms

A Very Close Call…

I mentioned in a previous post that there was a slim chance that two storms crossing the country (one moisture-starved system in the north with cold air, and another moisture-loaded system in the south with warm air) could merge and create a massive coastal storm.  This would have occurred Thursday and Friday.

The two systems will merge, just not fast enough for anyone to get a big storm (unless you live in Maine…in that case, you’re going to get hammered again).  The most PA will get is snow showers over the next few days followed by a beautiful weekend with temperatures in the 40s and 50s!  Sorry snow lovers…

It’s going to be quiet weather-wise until at least Monday.  With lack of wintry weather to discuss, I plan to post some tips on how to read weather maps as well as some excellent free resources for getting weather information, radars, maps etc.  Also, with the nice weather coming this weekend, it appears I’ll be able to do quite a bit of drone flying.  Check back soon for pics and video
